If I told you I had a vision you wouldn't believe me.
But I did.
I dream while I'm asleep and have visions while I'm awake.
Dazzling visions.
Your young men will have visions and your old men will dream dreams.
Beautiful dreams. Beyond description.
I told my friend and she said:

LAURA
What was your vision about?

ERIC
But I couldn't tell her.
It was as clear as sunlight through crystal in my mind. But I couldn't say a word.

If I told you I had a vision you wouldn't believe me.
But I do.
I do all the time.

I'm having one right now.
 
"Young Men and Old Men " was originally performed as a part of the play Nobody Move and Nobody Gets Hurt!!! at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa and in a number of cities in Ontario, Canada and later in the Performance Studies Department at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
